NHS Hearing Aids
Scrivens NHS now provide a new NHS hearing service in this medical centre. You must be referred to us by your GP to benefit from our free services below:
- A thorough hearing assessment
- Fitting of digital hearing aids (where required)
- Continuous aftercare support
- A regular supply of batteries straight to your front door
Our NHS hearing aids feature:

- Powerful technology to assist the more advanced of hearing losses
- Flexible fitting range
Many of our patients are fitted with their brand new hearing aids on the day of their assessment, meaning they can benefit from better hearing straight away.
90% of Scrivens' NHS hearing patients rate our service as very good or excellent and 98% would recommend us to a friend or family member.
Will my hearing aids cost me anything?
No, the hearing aids and continuous supply of batteries are all funded by the NHS
What happens after I am fitted with my hearing aids?
Our dedicated customer service team will arrange regular reviews after your hearing aids are fitted. We understand that getting used to your hearing aids could take some time so we will keep in close contact to make sure you are getting the most out of your hearing aids. Also feel free to pop in if you have any concerns
Will the service and care be as good as my local hospital?
Our contract with the NHS requires us to meet clear standards of clinical excellence that all NHS hearing providers must work to, meaning you will receive the same, if not better services as you would at your local hospital. We are proud to say that 98% of our patients said they would recommend our services to a friend or family member
Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) - CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE AT THE PRACTICE DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Do you need help with finding housing, resolving debt or with benefits? Getting the right help can remove the stress and anxiety connected with life’s everyday challenges.
You can now access the Citizens Advice free, confidential and independent advice service in this surgery. Every week they are here to help you tackle the issues that may be troubling you or your family.
This help might be with Personal Independence Payments, Attendance Allowance, and Universal Credit; debts such as Council Tax or rent arrears, employment issues or Health and Community Care.
This is just a small example of the help provided, so if in doubt please ask.
Simply ask your GP, nurse or receptionist for an appointment with our Citizens Advice worker.
We have the CAB in Odiham & Old Basing every Wednesday from 9.00am to 15.00pm
We are working with Andover Mind to offer accessible and holistic mental health support to our patients.
Need to talk to someone?
The Mind mental health worker can help patients over the age of 16 who are concerned about their well-being and mental health this may include such things as:
- Someone who is anxious and low in mood
- Those who have suffered an upsetting life event
- Young people who are self-harming
- Carers who are stress and overwhelmed
- Those with a mental health diagnosis including serious mental illness
These appointments are bookable by our receptionists and doctors & held via telephone due to the current Covid-19 pandemic.
