The NHS App has been updated to make it easier to use. The following video explains the new layout of the NHS App home screen and how to navigate to the main features, including requesting repeat prescriptions, booking appointments, and accessing your test results The NHS App home screen (BSL)

Repeat Prescriptions

You can order your repeat prescriptions at any time in the NHS App, without joining a telephone queue or waiting until your GP surgery opens. You can also easily choose where your prescriptions are sent by changing your nominated pharmacy to wherever suits you.  

You can also see the details of medicines or items health care professionals have confirmed for you at any time in the NHS App. You can use a prescription barcode to collect your medicine if you don’t have a nominated pharmacy, without needing to collect a paper prescription.

Test results

Did you know you can view test results in the NHS App? The NHS App is a simple way to see recent test results that have been added to your online GP health record, without having to phone the GP practice.

Health Records

If you are 16 years or older, you can view new information (including allergies, medicines, vaccinations, consultations and test results) that has been added to your GP health records through the NHS App, which allows you to read and review notes from your appointments in your own time.
