Non-NHS Charges

There are a number of services that we provide which are not covered under the NHS. Listed in the document below are the more common charges.

The other less common charges are available from reception.

These fees are indicative only, and may vary depending on the complexity and time involved.

Private 'sick note'; a brief 'to whom it may concern' letter


Copies of medical records [Freedom of Information & Data Protection legal maximum] - computer printout

Performing diagnostic tests requested by insurer / solicitor etc [lab fees extra]


Form completion or letter [e.g., TWIMC if not brief] from medical records only


Examples include:- driving licence application; freedom from infection; Firearms report: housing needs letter; fitness to perform exercise; fitness to attend school; private insurance [BUPA, PPP etc] claim; Ofsted; school fees, sickness or accident claim; holiday cancellation; fitness to travel;fitness to diet or exercise and others

Private prescription for overseas travel


Confirmation of medication for travel certificate


Summary certificate of all vaccinations


Blood test [for travel or occupation], laboratory fee extra


Yellow fever vaccination & certificate


Hepatitis B vaccine, for each injection [course of 3 injections]


Meningitis A+C or ACWY   injection


Japanese encephalits B injection


Tick borne encephalitis, for each injection [course of 3 injections needed]


Rabies vaccine, for each injection [ course of 3 injections needed]


If patient gets vaccine themselves, injection fee is per injection


Private patients or other chargeable vaccines = cost of vaccine plus 20% plus injection charge of £20
