Therapeutic Counselling - Anne-Christina Hitchin
People seek counselling for different reasons. Difficulties from the past, painful experiences in the present or fears about the future can all hinder our ability to feel part of and enjoy life and find satisfaction. If life is difficult at the moment and you would like to talk things through with someone who won't judge you, make assumptions or offer opinions, someone who is prepared to come alongside you and help you find a way through and out of your difficulties, then counselling may be for you.
In counselling you will be supported in expressing your emotions in your own way and finding your own solutions to your problems. The process of sorting out and untangling feelings and worries can enable you to see things with more clarity and empower you to make changes. Counselling can also help you come to terms with and accept what cannot be changed. But you don't have to have extensive problems to have counselling. You may just want to explore where you are at in your life, increase your self awareness and engage in personal growth.
I am an integrative Counsellor, which means I draw on a number of different counselling theories/approaches. This makes it easier to be flexible and work in a way that suits the individual. In counselling we will work together to find the right track for you. At the very centre of the service I offer is a therapeutic relationship, which is based on respect, trust, confidentiality, equality and honesty. I offer both short term and open ended therapy.
If any of what you have read here about counselling has captured your attention, I would be delighted to meet with you for an initial no obligation session. This would give you a chance to decide whether counselling is the right thing for you and whether you feel comfortable with me.
50 minute appointments are £45.00
Face to face appointments are available at Odiham Health Centre every Thursday morning.
Please call Anne-Christina on: 07917 716379 for more information or to book an appointment.
